I was going to say something about the 3 colourful boxes (are they cookies? or would you call it biscuits?), but then my eye caught something else... 4:30 AM posting time!
Did you set the time to post so early in the morning or did you actually post it at that time?
I may have to purchase a few of these, since I'm such a Lilly lover. The kids were chomping on animal crackers yesterday, although not the Lilly variety. :)
Skip- I "borrowed the photo her. All they say is the release date was late march, but I haven't seen any http://www.stylelist.com/2010/04/08/lilly-pulitzer-animal-crackers/
Lize- no my time stamp is set on PST its was 8:30 here.
JMW- I love animal crackers , the boxes are way cool and the money goes to the WWF. Win-win-win!
I have no idea what these are. I have heard of the great Barnum and his troop, but not these crackers. I am guessing they are an American thing as I have never seen them here, however I haven't been to every store n the whole country so they could be here somewhere!!!!
much love Lia xx
Mind you looking at the photo again I see 3 boxes, is that one for each of your little men and one for you!!!!!! Are there no words because you have a mouth full of animal cracker????? Being a man od manners you won't do speaking with your mouth full now would you !!!!!
James, aren't these the best? I have been searching high and low for them, and one reader wrote to me and said she found them at Walmart of all places. I'll let you know if I come across them! :)
James, I recently purchased a pair of Weejuns and was wondering whether or not to add pennies. I'm asking a few of my favorite bloggers about their opinions and will post them on my blog. 1) Penny or No Penny? 2) Why?
Not in my lifetime would I had even linked those two up! Boy have I had my fair share of those lovely cookies. Must say the box is a nice diversion from the norm!
Hope your having a good week James? Thanks for commenting on my blog tonight : D
These make me think of Shirley Temple, though I would NEVER put these type of animal crackers in my soup, too sweet. I wonder when animal crackers went from 'soup variety' to 'cookie variety'? Probably in the 1950's, or maybe in the 30's to have a sweet cookie in your soup was the epitome of decadence.
I see you "joined" my blog.....I have seen your face around blogland and I always wondered who you were!!!! I used to eat these little crackers as a child!!! Thanks for stopping by; I hope my PINK FRIVOLOUSNESS wasn't too much for ya'!!!
I just had to whip out my magnifying glass and take another gander at your blog...how charming and witty your writing is...and thank you for the link to Ms. Lemontree. YOU ARE RIGHT! What chic and style.
Please do come back if you can stomach the French accents...
Wonderful post as always full of wit and devoid of pretention. I love you genuine blog your great writing and your wonderful outlook on everything. Bravo.

ReplyDeleteI hope my daughter doesn't find these. We just got the Lilly catalog - i think she loved everything in it.

Hi James, you've been tagged in Le Petit Village and now you're it :-)

ReplyDeleteI am so envious and very sad not to be able to purchase these preppy delights anytime soon. Or would you know to happen where to get them in the UK?
ReplyDeleteI'm a nut for anything "Lilly" and can't believe Ive missed these. The search is on!
