I have been so busy with the little Rat Pack during Spring Break that I was remiss in thanking Lily. She gave me the wonderful opportunity to write on her blog about my style icon Edward Herrmann.
I've mentioned her before, but it can not be said too much . This lady is a joy to visit. Always up beat and interesting, she is one of the people you need to unwind with after a day out in the world!
If you don't know her please go now and enjoy! http://lilylemontree.blogspot.com
Lily is just wonderful isn't she!
ReplyDeleteJames, I know I'm an idiot, but who is in the first picture? The one of the gentleman and the lady in the black suit?
ReplyDeleteDear James,
ReplyDeleteI have to say, .... and, I'm not crawling or sucking up !! but, I think that you are far better looking than Edward Herrmann. You have such aa kind face. No wonder you won your fair maiden, Elaine. You both make a lovely couple and I love your story of how you won her over.
Robert Redford has nothing on you !! XXXX
SP- Yes she is!
ReplyDeleteShelly- that is Kelly Bishop and Edward Herrmann as Mr & Mrs Richard Gilmore. And you are hardly an idiot!
Jackie- You are a sweetheart, but I still marvel that she married me.
Her site is wonderful, as is yours James.
ReplyDeleteGiveaway is up on my site! Please join in...

James, you are too kind! It was an absolute honour for me (and my readers!) that you could guest blog. An excellent post on a very stylish man and everyone just loved the little glimpse into the courtship of your lovely wife!
ReplyDeleteThumbs up James.
ReplyDeleteAlways Bumby
When my daughter was at home in middle and high school during the heyday of Gilmore Girls, she and her friends determined that I was very much akin to Emily Gilmore in temperment. I'm reasonably certain that this was NOT a compliment.
ReplyDeleteLove her blog! And yours too. xoxo

Dear James,
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous couple.
It is so lovely of you to share with us.
I love Lily too, she's the best.
You're the best too, my cher, cher ami.

Greetings from Melbourne!!
ReplyDeleteJames, I just wanted say how much I love your blog site; it's good to find a kindred spirit. Just keep on doing what you're doing. Do you resemble Edward Hermann? I'm a 55yo pipe-smoking Govt pen pusher who wears bow ties but unfortunately, I'm not as handsome as EH. I've read your earlier posts and agree with you re the decline of manners and general civility.Best wishes, Ian from Downunder
Edward Herrmann does have great style...especially in Gilmore Girls! xx
ReplyDeleteJames -- I just had to ask, because I thought it was you. I've never actually heard of Edward Herrman, but I shall be on the lookout for his name.
